Healing Overview

 "Healer" class is a character role primarily focused on keeping other party members alive by utilizing healing spells and abilities, essentially acting as the medical support for the group, ensuring they can continue to fight without being overwhelmed by damage; this often requires quick reactions and strategic decision-making to prioritize which players need healing most. 

Key points about healer classes:

  • Primary function:

    To heal injured party members, often with a focus on the tank who takes the most damage. 

  • Gameplay style:

    Typically involves casting healing spells, applying protective buffs, and sometimes providing utility abilities like cleanses or damage mitigation. 

  • Importance in group play:

    Considered crucial for success, as a skilled healer can significantly improve a group's survivability. 

Different types of healers:

  • Direct Healers:

    Focus on single-target healing spells, often used to quickly restore large amounts of health to a critically injured party member. 

  • Area-of-Effect (AoE) Healers:

    Specialize in healing multiple party members within a designated area, useful in situations with widespread damage. 

  • Hybrid Healers:

    Can switch between direct and AoE healing, offering more flexibility depending on the combat scenario. 

  • Protective Healers:

    May focus on providing defensive buffs and shields to mitigate incoming damage, sometimes alongside healing abilities. 

Healing Classes

 

  •  Cleric:

            They have access to a wide variety of powerful healing spells,                             including potent single-target and area-of-effect heals. Beyond                           pure healing, they can also provide beneficial buffs and utility                           spells to support the party.

                   Weapon: 

Blunt weapons:

                     Maces, war-hammers, weapons are preferred for strength and damage. . 

 

Shields are optional:

                     Often utilize shields to enhance their AC and survivability while casting spells, especially when playing a more defensive healing role. 

 

Light weapons for mobility:

Javelin allow for better movement and positioning to reach allies needing healing.

                   

                  Class Abilities:

Stitch:

A basic healing spell that restores a moderate amount of health points to a target.

Health Revive:

A powerful spell that can instantly restore a target to full health from the brink of death. 

​

Protect:

Defensive spell cast to block physical damage.

 

Shell:

Defensive spell cast to block magic damage.

  • Holy Warrior:

       Combines healing with offensive abilities,  focus on protecting allies            while dealing damage.    

 

                 Weapons:

​

One-handed Holy-infused Melee Weapon:

                 Sword, mace, or Warhammer with enchantments or inherent properties that amplify holy damage and healing effects. 

 

Shield:

                  Shield can provide additional defensive capabilities and may even have holy abilities.

                                                  Direct Healing Spells:

Holy Light:

                            A primary healing spell, often with a moderate cast time, used to heal a single target significantly. 

​

Flash Light:

             A quicker, lower-power heal, useful for topping off allies or reacting to sudden damage. 

 

Sacrificing Hands:

                      A powerful, high healing ability that sacrifices a large amount of the caster's health to fully heal a target.

Protective Abilities:

​

Leaching Shield:

              A defensive cooldown that absorbs incoming damage and provides a short immunity to effects. 

 

 Protection Prayer:

 A buff that reduces damage taken by an ally. 

 

Holy wall 

A temporary shield wall that absorbs a portion of incoming damage.

Offensive Abilities with Healing Synergy:

Holy Strike: 

       A melee attack that generates Holy Power  

 

Blessed Weapon:  

          A buff that infuses the weapon with holy damage, increasing attack power and potentially providing additional healing effects. 

 

Holy Sun: 

                        A holy-infused Ball of energy that deals damage and may apply a healing effect to nearby allies.
